阿農．南堯 Arnont NONGYAO

《市集歌劇》最初是由 2019 年新加坡雙年展委託製作，此次阿農．南堯於「勒法利計畫」中展出《市集歌劇 2》──在此作品中，聲響以噪音之姿介入人們的生活，並轉變成一個相互空間，鼓勵人們理解並接受彼此為一場社會歌劇，從而實現經驗交流。

「阿農．南堯對於『聲響即振動』與『世界即複雜振動網絡』等概念深感興趣，因而創造出各種實驗性聲音表演與裝置。《市集歌劇》是一件沉浸式多螢幕裝置作品。十二個頻道各自播放著泰國北部當地市集的聲響與情景。這些每週一次的市集，是不同族群背景人士聚集、交流與交易的場域。從人們的閒談聲、鳥兒的啾鳴，到風兒的吹拂，對藝術家而言，每一個市集即為一份樂譜。這些聲響經過重新安排，成為一首樂曲，共同呈現一場市集的社會文化歌劇表演。」（文／維帕．布利貞農 ）

The Opera of Kard was first commissioned by the Singapore Biennale 2019. The work continues to amplify the operatic to Project: The Folly. The sound in this work is intervening as noises of life and turns to a mutual-space that encourages people to exchange their different experiences by understanding and accepting each other as a society’s opera.

“Interested in the notion of sound as vibration and the world as a network of complex vibrations, Arnont NONGYAO creates experimental sound performances and installations. Opera of Kard (Market) is an immersive multi-screen installation. Each of the 12 channels plays back the sounds and scenery from a kard, or local market in northern Thailand. These weekly markets are gathering places where people from different ethnic backgrounds congregate, communicate and trade. From people chattering to birds singing and the wind blowing, each kard is, for the artist, also a musical score. Rearranged into a single composition, the sounds now come together as a socio-cultural operatic performance of the kard.” ── Text by Vipash PURICHANONT

阿農．南堯 1979 年生於泰國曼谷，目前在清邁（泰國）與胡志明市（越南）生活與工作。他是一位對聲響與動態影像深感興趣的藝術家，同時也是一位對振動情有獨鍾的聲音藝術家。他的作品大多帶有實驗性與研究導向等特質，它們代表著藝術家對各種事物（例如物件、人類，以及社會）之間關係的探索。

Arnont NONGYAO (b. 1979, Bangkok) lives and works in Chiangmai (TH) and Ho Chi Minh City (VN). He is an artist who’s interested and has fallen in love with the sound and moving images. And he’s a sound artist with a particular interest in vibration. Most of his works are experimental and research-driven; they are a search for a relationship between things such as objects, human beings, and society.
