莊普以一間間具備游動性質的木作家居為建築單元,這些物件除了是逐漸消失的建築象徵或建築形式,更是一種神性的寓言式寄託。人們在新組構的通道縫隙,穿梭其中,新的空間體驗讓時間性開始擾動。此流動性與動態性的空間變化,使冰凍的一切事物隨時可被解放出來。

透過這種藝術實踐,相信可以讓神性重新發現在這滿是無神的「他者」都市荒漠,藉著豎立的一間間「不得其所」的建築,重新界定空間的界線與邊緣,「地方錯置」使空間的意義和複雜性被視覺化,邊緣的界定產生了主動性,抵抗了原本被框架的權力空間


TSONG Pu uses movable wooden dwellings as the construction units. These objects represent not only disappearing architectural symbols or forms, but also allegorical divinity in which people find sustenance. Wandering the newly constructed passages, the visitors will undergo unprecedented spatial experiences that disturb their temporality. The fluid and dynamic spatial change may also liberate the frozen things at any time.

The artist believes that such artistic practice makes it possible to rediscover divinity in the godless urban desert bristling with the “Other.” By erecting these “out-of-place” dwellings, the artist ingeniously redefined the boundary and frontier of space. The approach of “misplacing” visualizes the meaning and complexity of space, whilst the redefinition of spatial frontier generates proactivity in defying the originally rigid space of power.

藝術家介紹 About the Artist

莊普,一位運用理性規制達到直觀詩意的當代藝術家,1983 年以極簡風格出發,並以此聞名。他也是一個興趣廣泛的創作者,穿梭於生活語境所觸發的醍醐灌頂式的創作興味是其根本興趣。

TSONG Pu, a contemporary artist who employs rational discipline to achieve an intuitive poeticness, became well-known for his minimalist style in 1983. With a wide spectrum of interests, he is fundamentally engrossed in the empowerment that is sparked when creating while navigating everyday life contexts.
