凌天 LING Tien

臺中是個拒絕傳統「定著」意義，而強調交換與流動的都會，適合使用資訊與媒介的觀點解讀，以城市空間系統的尺度來捕捉其不斷變動的本質。臺中的空間系統，包含市中心格狀街區核心，向外放射的規劃蔓延，大道與綠園系統的貫串連結，屯區重劃的開發想像，河海溪流的水系紋理，大肚山的地景影響，以及傳統城區之外的縣城鄉鎮等等。

《台中計畫》由環境地景、聚落組織、發展歷史、使用活動、建築類型等層面，分析呈現臺中城市脈絡、建築現況與空間表現，以地理製圖與資訊編程工具，蒐集、編譯、轉錄並詮釋空間系統的多層面相。

The city of Taichung rejects the traditional meaning of “settlement” and instead centers on urban exchanges and flows, inviting the interpretations from the perspective of information and media to capture its protean nature. The spatial systems of Taichung include its grid layout in the downtown area, its sprawling suburbs, the connection of its main roads and green belts, its vision in the redevelopment districts, its hydrological feature, the implications of Dadu Mountain, and the outlying towns in the countryside.

Project Taichung comprises multiple perspectives including the studies of environment and landscape, settlement patterns, urban development through history, land uses and building types. It utilizes contemporary media of geographical information and representation to collect, compile, transcribe, and interpret the multifaceted spatial systems of Taichung, with the aim of describing and documenting the urban contexts, architectural presentations, and spatial perceptions of this city.
